I am cycling across the country from San Diego to St. Augustine. This is my blog, please enjoy it. In conjunction with the ride, I am raising money for the Komen Breast Cancer Fund. Please consider donating by copying this link into your browser: Thanks!

May 13, Day 53, riding day 46, Midway, FL to 51 miles E of Waukeenah, FL, 51.2 miles, 2,782.3 miles cuml, about 260 miles to finish

Today we rode just over 50 miles from west of Tallahassee to east of Tallahassee, still in the panhandle of Florida. It is about 90 degrees and muggy. I finished at 11 am after about 3 hours and 15 minutes -- it is nice to get an early start with this heat. The ride ranged from 35 feet in elevation to about 225 feet, with a few ups and downs. We are staying at a KOA kampground next to I-10 in little cabins that have air conditioning and mattresses, all one needs.

Dave got new front tires on the van; I'm sure you are all pleased about that, so I included a photo.

The other pictures are from Alice who was riding with the biggest part of the group. Our EFI group is Frank, Luke, Becky, Sharon, Janet and me, with the others following closely. We have four (4) days to go to St. Augustine, but who is counting?

(Alice and Dave have provided a lot of the pictures for this blog as I am too busy riding to be bothered to stop to photograph stuff most of the time...)

  1. Hi Janet,
I'm so glad to get your address. I hope you got the message I just sent and that you are okay.
We miss you soooooo much. John was wonderful to come to the musical. I'll send pictures if I can figure out how.
