I am cycling across the country from San Diego to St. Augustine. This is my blog, please enjoy it. In conjunction with the ride, I am raising money for the Komen Breast Cancer Fund. Please consider donating by copying this link into your browser: Thanks!

April 22, Day 32, riding day 28, Austin, TX to La Grange, TX, 65 miles, 1,706.8 miles cuml

Today we left the International youth hostel at about 8am in Austin and headed mostly east to La Grange, TX. The riding was mostly flat, with a few hills, but much flatter than the country west of Austin. Phil and I had permission to go off route and took a straighter, busier route and saved about 10 miles. We got in at 2pm. Others started arriving at about 4:00pm. We are staying at an RV park on the Colorado River with lots of bugs and critters around, but excellent showers. Everything is very green from all the rain, and thunderstorms threaten the next few days. The picture is of my wife Kim (visiting from Seattle) and me before starting the ride in the morning.
