I am cycling across the country from San Diego to St. Augustine. This is my blog, please enjoy it. In conjunction with the ride, I am raising money for the Komen Breast Cancer Fund. Please consider donating by copying this link into your browser: Thanks!

April 24, day 34, riding day 30, Navasota TX to Shepherd TX, 81 miles, 1,853.8 miles cuml

Today we had a great ride in the sun, mostly with pleasant tailwinds, through the "Big Thicket" and the Sam Houston National Forest, from Navasota, Tx to Shepherd, Tx. There were lots of trees, parks, snakes, turtles, etc. We get to stay in a motel which is super deluxe. We expect good weather for the next few days. It is very hot and muggy, like 85 in the day and 70 at night --- summer has arrived.
